Hand Crafted 11"x 26" Ashiko. With speed bead tuning, you'll never have to wrestle with difficult rope tuning again. Simply slide the beads down to raise the tone, when you're done playing, simply slide the beads up to release the tension, this helps prolong the life of the head. These instruments are made of stave construction, which is the process of cutting individual slats of wood that are then glued into a barrel. Each drum is then hand turned on a lathe to give it a unique and distinctive look. All of the Mystic Rhythms Ashikos are made of the highest quality 13 ply Baltic Birch plywood, which comes from managed forests.
