This deff is really 16 7/8 x 4 inches, weighs 7.8 lbs. and comes in a firm sided nylon case with a suit case handle. The head itself is synthetic with a 16 inch wide playing surface. The 10 tuning brackets are within the aluminum frame itself so you can make it as hi or as low as you want. And with its sturdy aluminum frame you can take it anywhere.
