This deff is really 16 7/8 x 4 3/8 inches, weighs 7.95 lbs. and comes in a firm sided nylon case with a suit case handle. The head itself is synthetic with a 16 inch wide playing surface. The 10 tuning brackets are within the aluminum frame itself so you can make it as hi or as low as you want. With its eye catching red and sturdy aluminum frame it's great for street parties.
